Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) പദ്ധതി
Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) is a centrally-initiated scheme implemented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India. The main objective of the project is to ensure better governance and development for the rural people by increasing the administrative capacity and service delivery capacity of Panchayati Raj institutions.
Main objectives of the project
Strengthen institutional capacity of Gram Panchayat, Block Panchayat and District Panchayat.
Provide training to elected representatives and officials.
Assist in scientific preparation and implementation of Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).
Promote transparent and accountable governance.
Strengthen digital governance and e-governance systems.
Empower Panchayats to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level.
Ensure participation of women, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
